Picnic and Other Reminders

Picnic Time
  It is finally here! This Sunday we are having a two prong celebration: New Life Church's first birthday (our first worship service was June 8, 2014) and celebrating membership (nearly 90 people have committed themselves to Christ & His church at New Life during the Charter Membership phase over the past five months).  
   This is a Potluck Picnic at the Dutzow Pavilion, beginning at noon - please bring a dish to share, lawn chairs for seating, as well as an attitude of joy and celebration.  There will be bounce houses for the young, as well as volleyball, football, washers, sack races and other activities for the remaining young at heart.  
 During worship (wear RED in celebration of Pentecost Sunday - the birth of the church) we will reflect on past year, recalling the amazing things the Lord has done In and through us. We will end the service with a BALLOON LAUNCH from the parking lot near the front entrance. 
    Don't miss the celebration!

NOTES AND REMINDERS:

Did You Know?
   This past Sunday there were 138 people in worship and the only remaining parking spaces were three handicapped spots near the front entrance.  This is a great challenge that is welcomed and desired... and one of the easiest to remedy. PLEASE HELP make room for those who have difficulty walking and for guests by parking on the side streets, particularly north of 8th street on Burnside.

Getting Acquainted with others at New Life – in attempt to foster familiarity and relationships, we are posting pictures (with names) on the bulletin board in the lobby.  Please email a picture of you and/or your household to  [email protected] or have your picture taken after worship.  Check out the Lobby Bulletin board for pictures to date.  Eventually, these pictures and names will be emailed out to “New Lifer’s” to aid in our getting better acquainted.
