Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee has some new things in the works for this year. The following organizations will be highlighted:
February - we will be emphasizing the Washington Overseas Mission. We hope to have a short overview from a speaker from that organization on either Feb 7th or 14th. We will make a monetary donation to that group.
Also in February, the Womens group will help assemble packets for all staff members at three of the schools in Washington School District.
March - Education Support in Washington Focus
In March we will be distributing those packets as an thank you and an encouragement/prayer as they get to the fourth quarter in the school year. We will also be donating a basket for the family fun night from New Life Church and be working with the organization Jenny's Cause at the Middle school. This organization helps with clothing and hygiene needs for the kids attending Washington Middle School. We are hoping to incorporate some of the youth the assist with this mission.
In April we will emphasize the Food pantry's in Washington - with needs for the backpack program in mind.
Local Food Pantries
Donations can be brought to the church any time. Bring Non Perishable food items and place them in the giving box. Members will deliver these items to the local agencies that provide food assistance in the area.
