Many are giving thanks to God for the generosity and commitment of so many to The Lord’s Church and ministry at New Life!  Yesterday we closed on the purchase of the 8th street facility.  Yeah, God!
    As of yesterday, $29,620 has been donated and another $21,220 committed in pledges.  You are indeed Planting for the Future…Helping New Life Church to Grow!  Thank you for making a difference.
    If you have not had an opportunity to receive a campaign packet, please call the church office or see an usher during worship.  Together we will reduce our debt and simultaneously continue the Lord’s work through New Life Church.  

Getting Acquainted at New Life - there is a bulletin board in the lobby where we will be posting pictures and brief descriptions of New Life households as a way to get better acquainted with one another.

Membership @ New Life - If you're interested in membership at New Life, there will be an informational session on Sunday, April 12, 11:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m., in the lower level.  Lunch included (donations accepted).  New members will be received that following Sunday (4/19).  Write "Membership" on your Communication Card.

Children’s Church –Beginning in June.  If you are interested in serving for a week or more, please contact Chris Marquart.  This gives our Sunday School teachers a break for the summer to replenish for the fall.  An easy to use DVD driven curriculum will be used.  On which Sundays would you be able to serve?


VBS (Vacation Bible School) – July 27-31… can you help?  Before we solidify VBS for this year, we need to assess if we will have sufficient volunteers to serve. This can be a great outreach to our community as well as a faith builder to all our youth (and the adults who serve)!  Mark “VBS” on your Communication Card (or sign up in the lobby) if you are able and willing to serve in some way.

Dare 2 Share – Pastor George and Jennifer Kazmaier are leading a group of middle and high school youth from New Life to this fun & faith filled Evangelism event on April 17-18.  If interested contact PG or Jennifer.  Deadline to register is March 30.  Cost of tickets, snacks, transportation, lodging = $55 each.

Church Workday TOMORROW, Saturday March 28.  All hands are needed to spruce up the facility and property for Easter.  If you can help any time between 8am – 12noon, please stop by and help make a difference!

    Overcoming Emotions that Destroy: Practical Solutions for Angry Feelings.         
     We all struggle with angry feelings, brought on by tension, pressure, and the blocked goals and frustrations of day-to-day life. The broken and stressed relationships that result from these feelings can overwhelm us. But there is hope. With the right help, you too can overcome those emotions that destroy.
    On Wednesdays through April 1 (light meal at 6:30pm, then DVD driven sessions beginning at 7pm), this practical DVD series, created and presented by Chip Ingram, will help you learn how to identify the unhealthy ways you respond to anger, uncover the feelings underneath your anger, as well as choose God-given, emotionally healthy ways to control your anger.
    You will learn through solid biblical principles, as well as the psychological aspects of our emotions, that anger can actually be a positive tool used by God to transform you and your relationships.
