Sunday, August 23, 2015 – Lord, we pray that you would defend Christian students and teachers from those who would bully, threaten or intimidate them. Raise up students and teachers who are not ashamed of the gospel. Raise up strong and bold leadership among groups and campus clubs. We pray you will help them minister effectively to those around them. As the gospel advances, we pray the school culture will be one of love, respect, joy and peace. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
 Saturday, August 22, 2015 - Lord, as our children begin the school year, allow them to experience your presence throughout their school. Open their eyes to the fresh challenges and exciting opportunities that the new school year brings. Open their hearts and minds to new friends and new teachers. Help them to be enthusiastic about their studies and give them the courage to try new things. Help them to be attentive to their teachers and let them experience your presence in their new friends. Inspire them to do their best this year. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen
 Friday, August 21, 2015- Lord, we pray for any students who struggle, whether with learning disabilities or with troubled families. We pray that you would restore their confidence and motivation, that failures and setbacks would not discourage them. We ask that you provide the specialized teachers these students need. Encourage all who feel like giving up to press on to victory. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen
 Thursday, August 20, 2015- Lord, help our children to stand against peer pressure. Empower them to make decisions that will be pleasing in your sight. Surround them with good friends that are positive influences. Keep drugs and alcohol out of their reach. Help our children to keep hormones in check, avoiding sex before marriage. Protect our children from bullies and those that mean harm to them. Help them to work out their problems instead of fighting with each other. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen
 Wednesday, August 19, 2015- Lord, be with our children’s teachers this year. Help them teach in ways that each student can understand. Let them have reasonable expectations of our children and give them patience whenever their patience meter is running low. Bless the teachers with caring administrators who care as much about kids as test scores. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
 Tuesday, August 18, 2015 – Lord, we pray that you will be with every child that is returning back to school this year. Protect them as they wait at the bus stop, ride the bus, travel by car or walk to school. Keep them safe from dangers seen and unseen. Help our school crossing guards and bus drivers to remain attentive on their jobs. Give our children favor with their teachers and help them to pay attention in class. Let this be their best year yet for academics, sports, fine arts, and friendships. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
 Monday, August 17, 2015 – Dear Lord, let us be supportive of our parents this year. Strengthen each parent’s discernment. Let them know when something is going on with their kids. Help parents keep their students on track with their homework and study time. Help parents to remember all the subjects that they took so many years ago so that they can be effective in helping their children complete their homework. Provide for families financially so that the children can go on field trips, buy school pictures and yearbooks, have appropriate clothing for the school seasons, school supplies, or whatever else the children need to enhance their educational experience. Give parents favor on their jobs so that they are able to attend their children’s activities. Remind parents of the need to pray for their children daily. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
