Worship Team
The worship team leads the congregation in song and praise each week. Practices are held on Wednesday evenings. It is extremely important that members of the worship team be available for rehearsals during their month of service. Members of the worship team serve for one month at a time, two times a year, plus occasional special events. Denny Price leads the worship team. Sound Techs
People working in the sound booth arrive early for church to get audio equipment prepared for services and adjust microphone volumes to provide the best audio experience at New Life Church. You do not need any prior experience to sign up for this team. You will be trained during church services. Ideally, sound techs would serve once a month in the sound booth. Contact Denny Price if you would like to help!
Projection
Two projectors run during all services at New Life Church - one for the worship team and one for the congregation. Persons interested in serving in this area simply need to be familiar with navigating through a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. Volunteers are also needed from time to time to load song lyrics into our system for use at future services. A basic understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint is all that is needed to help in this way.
Greeters & Ushers
Ushers are key to welcoming guests as well as helping a service run smoothly. They welcome worshippers, help guests find open seats, make sure needed items for service are in their proper place, take attendance, and collect the offering. Ushers generally serve one Sunday per month. If you are interested in joining an usher team, please contact Lafe Schweissguth
Refreshment Servers
The coffee/refreshment time after church each week is an excellent chance for fellowship. It would not be possible without helpers in the kitchen who get the snacks and beverages ready for the group. Volunteers set up the refreshment line with food, beverages, and tableware, and refill as necessary. They also tidy up the kitchen after the fellowship time is over. Refreshment servers normally serve once every two months. Cindy Berg organizes the servers. Please contact her if you are available to help.
Sunday School Teachers
Our Sunday School program will begin in September for children in kindergarten through 8th grade. Sunday School teachers have a very rewarding area of service, but also one of great responsibility. Please contact Chris Marquart if you have considered teaching a class.
Nursery Workers
New Life Church offers nursery service during worship for children from birth to 5 years old. The nursery is located in the lower level of the building across from the kitchen. Attendants are always needed to care for our young children. If you would like to volunteer in our nursery, please contact Chris Marquart to schedule a time.
