NEW LIFE CHURCH 40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR EACH OTHER

This year during Lent, we will be praying for each other as we strengthen our prayer life as well as our relationships with each other. In Ephesians 6:18 Paul writes, “ Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests with this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”   Through the Lenten All Church Prayer Initiative you’ll have a chance to pray for another New Life Church worshiper. On Sunday, Jan. 31 and Feb 7 there will be a card in the bulletin for you to fill out with your contact information.  During the greeting time you can exchange your card with someone else.  That will be your prayer partner for the 40 days of Lent. This is a great opportunity to reach out to someone you might not otherwise meet. Just imagine how we might all be changed if we earnestly pray for each other for 40 days.

Jesus said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer.”  
Let’s make that a reality at New Life this Lenten season.

​When you talk to your prayer partner, ask them if there is anything specific they would like you to pray about. If they have no specific prayer needs, you might pray for:

• Increased faith
• Good health
• Healthy family relationships
• Relief from financial stresses
• Opportunities to share their faith
• Openness to hear from God concerning His will in their lives

Be sure to stay in touch with your prayer partner during Lent.  Call, text, e-mail or send a note of encouragement.
