Infusion... And Reminders

Our “Planting for the Future…Help us Grow! Campaign is underway.  The purpose is to raise the funds to pay off the building we are purchasing (the one we have been renting this past year).  We are in the process of purchasing this facility – the closing is set for Monday, March 30.  By last Sunday we had received nearly $25,000 (plus an additional $11,000 in pledges)!  Yeah God!  We only needed to borrow $175,000 for the closing Monday.  Thank you for your prayers and your generosity. 
   Together, we will get this debt paid off ASAP.  If you have not received a Campaign Packet, please see an usher or Leadership Team member on Sunday.  On checks, write “Building” in the memo.  Thanks for joining with others in “Planting for the Future!”   

KEY CEREMONY AND PHOTO

Monday, March 30th at 12:30 p.m., Pastor Paul Scheperle from Life Stream will officially present Pastor George with the key to 408 E 8th Street.  We will have a photo with the Missourian.  All are invited to attend.  If you have a NLC shirt, please wear it!

Membership & Connecting

Getting Acquainted at New Life - there is a bulletin board in the lobby where we will be posting pictures and brief descriptions of New Life households as a way to get better acquainted with one another.
Membership @ New Life - If you're interested in membership at New Life, there will be an informational session on Sunday, April 12, 11:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m., in the lower level.  Lunch included (donations accepted).  New members will be received that following Sunday (4/19).  Write "Membership" on your Communication Card.

Youth Updates

Children’s Church –Beginning in June.  If you are interested in serving for a week or more, please contact Chris Marquart.  This gives our Sunday School teachers a break for the summer to replenish for the fall.  An easy to use DVD driven curriculum will be used.  On which Sundays would you be able to serve?
VBS (Vacation Bible School) – July 27-31… can you help?  Before we solidify VBS for this year, we need to assess if we will have sufficient volunteers to serve. This can be a great outreach to our community as well as a faith builder to all our youth (and the adults who serve)!  Mark “VBS” on your Communication Card (or sign up in the lobby) if you are able and willing to serve in some way.
Dare 2 Share – Pastor George and Jennifer Kazmaier are leading a group of middle and high school youth from New Life to this fun & faith filled Evangelism event on April 17-18.  If interested contact PG or Jennifer.  Deadline to register is March 30.  Cost of tickets, snacks, transportation, lodging = $55 each.

Reminders

Church Workday TOMORROW, Saturday March 28.  All hands are needed to spruce up the facility and property for Easter.  If you can help any time between 8am – 12noon, please stop by and help make a difference!

Easter Lilies - If you are interested in purchasing an Easter Lilly in honor of, or in memory of a family member, they may be purchased through NLC for $8.00 each. A signup sheet is available in the lobby or mark “LILY” on your Communication Card.  Deadline – THIS SUNDAY, March 29.
