Al Stewart Memorial

The memorial service for Al Stewart, who died this past Saturday of a heart attack, will be this coming Saturday, August 1.

Visitation at New Life Church:  9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Memorial Service at New Life Church:  11:00 a.m.

Jean Webb is coordinating a luncheon for after the funeral.  Donations of side dishes and desserts would be greatly appreciated.  Two or three people are also needed on Saturday to help with the luncheon itself on Saturday.  Please contact Jean if you are able to provide a dish or help serve the luncheon.

Dwight “Al” Stewart Jr., age 77, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in Washington.  Al was born in Kirkwood, Missouri on June 2, 1938 to the late Dwight A. Stewart Sr. and the late Gladys (nee Elvie) Stewart.  On November 30, 1962 he was united in marriage to Sue May in Jackson, Missouri.  He was an avid golfer and a pet lover.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 9am until time of Service at 11 am at New Life Church, 408 East 8th St., Washington.  Interment is private.  Memorial donations are appreciated to the Franklin County Humane Society or a charity of one’s choice. 

Al is survived by his wife, Sue M. Stewart of Washington; one daughter, Melissa L. Stewart of West Chester, Ohio; one grandchild, Amanda Meyer of West Chester, Ohio; five siblings, Pat and husband Jim Cleeton of St. Charles, Barbara Horstmeier of St. Peters, Shirley and husband Charlie Broz of Murrieta, California, Paul and wife Linda Stewart of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Kathi and husband Dave Raming of Kansas; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Lynn Miller and Jon Stewart.
