On Sunday (December 15th) the Message we heard was “Gifted: For Joy”
In Right Now Media to view in response to this message was listed “The Christmas Experience by Kyle Idleman.  The production of the 6 videos in this series by City on a Hill Production are an absolutely fantastic job.
I’ve heard the Christmas Story many times over my 50 plus years of understanding, but this is truly the best yet!  Each of these video series draws you into the experience, and also gives you a feeling of just how the lives of those who experienced it the first time must have been impacted.
If you are watching too you know what I’m talking about.  If you haven’t yet, there is still time.
It was in the 5th video series titled “Immanuel” where we go deeper into Sunday’s message Gifted: For Joy.
Taken from the video series: “God is looking down on his beloved children, you and me.  Everywhere we look we find things that rob us of our Joy: tragedy – calamity – economic crisis – horrible accidents – on and on…….”
In this series we hear and learn to “LOOK at Christmas through the eyes of the Shepherds.  Then we discover a joy that is not based on tomorrow’s forecast, we discover a Joy that rises above life’s circumstances.
Luke 2:8-10 …..Good News of Great Joy, that will be For ALL people.
Happiness is a feeling of ecstasy because of what’s happens to you. It’s temporary…changes with circumstances
Joy is an inner sense of wellbeing and satisfaction that endures through good times and bad.
JOY is a GIFT that God Gives us when we allow Him to be the Lord of our lives.”
In Sunday scripture passage John 15:11 “I want to give you my Joy so that your Joy can be complete…..eternal Joy through his Son.
And it’s the same Joy that the Shepherds were about to experience that first Christmas.
Joy to the World – The Lord has come!
How has watching “The Christmas Experience” impacted you?  Has the Joy of the Lord taken on a deeper understanding and meaning in your life?

Looking forward to sharing with you and reading your insights too!
Good place to start...Jesus is born...now let's open the Christmas gift to us and learn all we can about Him.
